The Fall Crowd Funding Finale

A big hug to everyone who helped supporting The Fall! You lovely people donated a whopping $1650!!!
Although it's not enough to pay the top notch editor we wanted, it's still perfect to get professional editing done. And that's what's going to happen in the next few days. The manuscript went through the third round of beta-reading and is ready to be send off to my editor.

Want some historic stuff?

With our fundraiser having only 7 days to go, we are giving away pieces from our historic basement (located in Saxony, east of Leipzig, Germany)

According to the monument protection agency, our basement appears to be a former pit house (pre-medieval to early medieval). He also dated the shards we found in the layers of clay on the floor of the basement as originating from the 15th through the18th century (the adobe floor has been put in after the pit house was taken down).
As the area here is full with shards from these periods, the agency isn't interested in the ones we have. So we give them to you!
On EACH of the following seven days, we will give three shards to THE FIRST THREE people donating a minimum of $20.Thats a lot of historical stuff being sent all around the World!

(Don't forget to leave your adress at the campaign's site - it will remain private)

Here is our campaign

Symbiosis between Indie Author & Traditional Publisher

Great news for today!
A major German publishing house (Kiepenheuer & Witsch) is buying the rights to The Devil's Grin. The coolest part here is that I'll remain an indie author! How can that be???

I'm writing in english and keep the english rights for my books. Kiepenheuer buys all other language rights.
But here comes the awsomeness:

They are supporting the crowd funding campaign for The Fall with a whopping $1000 US. A book that they haven't even seen yet, let alone have any rights to publish and sell.

I say this is extraordinary! Not only does it show tremendous respect for the work of us Indies, it also shows that traditional publishers and indie authors can work together quite nicely.

I'm really really happy about this. The funny thing is - I was waiting for a "Hahaha! It was all just an April fools day joke!" email for the longest time. It didn't come. :-)

On the way to the Reichenbach Fall

We are getting desperate! Therefore, Sherlock and John will be sent to Reichenbach Fall to be dropped into the abyss if you don't come and save them.

YOU decide whether they fall off the cliff and die, or land on you and live happily ever after.

WIN these cute guys, plus a large professionally printed photo of the two at the Reichenbach Fall, by helping us create the second book in the Kronberg Crimes Series HERE. Every donation of $15 or more will automatically place you in the raffle.

These cuddly buddies are now being made by a very nice lady. Sherlock, though, will only get to wear a sheet (you may lift that one as often as you like). Both will travel to the Reichenbach Fall (yep, the very one in Switzerland) in the first week of May, together with the German Sherlock Holmes Society!

GOOD LUCK!
(One plushie normally costs $30, you could get both for only $15)
